A new episodic documentary series by Rak Razam and Niles Heckman that examines indigenous entheogenic medicines and the Western Shamanic resurgence.

Each episode will follow a specific medicine person working with a specific medicine. This first pilot episode features Dr. Octavio Rettig & The Sonoran Desert Toad.
Doctor Octavio Rettig is a medical surgeon from the University of Guadalajara specialising in treating addictions. He has been working for over 15 years with traditional medicinal plants recognised as sacred plants or power plants within Mesoamerican cultures.
He has worked with the toad medicine for over seven years, during which he has given over 3,500 sessions treating serious cases of addiction to strong synthetic drugs like crystal meth (methamphetamine), and crack cocaine, achieving a high success rate with his patients, providing them with a new way of understanding life.
After the 60 minute presentation, there will be a 30 minute panel with Octavo & guests discussing the integration of these healing practises into western culture.
